Public relations, business and volunteerism. Our staff members have been awarded local and national honors in a variety of areas and practice disciplines. Among the highlights:

In February 2008, two of Carter PR's public relations campaigns were featured in "Top 100 Case Studies in PR, Vol. 3," published by PR News.

In February 2007, Carter PR was awarded the MarCom Gold Award for PR work in support of a DFW-area non-profit fundraising campaign. The campaign was the most successful effort of its kind in the 35-year history of the non-profit.

In November 2007, Carter PR was recognized in the area of Communications Management by the Southern Region of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). The firm won a "Silver Quill" for its management of a PR and advocacy campaign that took aim at controversial "immigrations ordinances" in the Dallas suburb of Farmers Branch, Texas.

That same month, the Dallas Region of IABC presented Carter PR with an "Award of Excellence" in Issues Management for the same campaign.

In November 2006, PR News named Carter Public Relations as a national winner in one of the industry's most prestigious honors - the Platinum Awards. Carter PR was recognized as one of 29 national PR campaign winners among a field of more than 1,000 entries.

In October 2006, Carter Public Relations was recognized as one of seven Dallas-area companies to win a 2006 Obelisk Award. Now in its 20th year, the Obelisk Awards program recognizes local companies who make a profound impact on the arts.

In April 2006, Carter PR was named an overall national winner in the Legal PR Awards, one of the industry's premier national honors.

In March 2006, Carter PR received a Summit Award for excellence in written communications.

In February 2006, Carter PR earned a community service award from the Volunteer Center of North Texas. The firm was named the overall winner in North Texas for the "Arts and Culture" category, recognizing outstanding corporate contributions to the arts.

In January 2006, the firm received a Magellan Award from the League of American Communication Professionals (LACP). Carter PR was one of only three PR firms in the country recognized for its work in media / crisis communications.

In November 2005, the firm received the Gold Award from MarCom Creative Awards. The awards recognize companies and individuals "whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the PR and marketing communications industry."

In June 2005, the Dallas Business Journal recognized firm President Travis J. Carter as a member of its "40 Under 40." The listing recognizes the top 40 business professionals in the Dallas-Fort Worth area under 40 years of age, as chosen by the publication's editorial staff.

In 2004, Carter received a “Spotlight Award” from the LACP and an APEX Award recognizing national excellence in written communications.

In 2003, Carter was named by PR News as “One of 15 to Watch” on the national PR scene. The publication recognized Carter for his background in media relations, crisis communications and legal public relations.
